Studio Headshot Day 07.12.22

Back by popular demand, we are offering a second Studio Headshot day session for 2022! If you’re an emerging artist requiring a professional headshot, then book now. Places are limited! Check your eligibility here.

It is essential to have current, high-quality headshots for all artists, especially when you’re starting out. It is a vital part of establishing your arts practice, but when you’re focused on creating, it can be overlooked.

Our Studio Headshot Day will provide you with a selection of professional headshots which are yours to use on your website, resume, biography, auditions, programs, social media and more.

We have engaged Adelaide-based photographer Michael Haines for this exciting professional development opportunity.

Preparing for the session

To get the most out of your session, there are a few things you should do ahead of time.

Artists are asked to consider the type of headshots they would like taken. For example, if you’re an actor, perhaps think about the characters you will be auditioning for and what kinds of photos you will need; or if you want a photo for your website, what feel will you be looking for in that photo.

Arrive ten-minutes before your appointment time

To ensure as many artists as possible can participate, the schedule will be strictly adhered to. Please arrive ten-minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If you arrive late, unfortunately your shooting time will be shortened to ensure the next appointment is able to start on time.

The day will be divided into 25-minute sessions, with artists booking their preferred time online. Please note places are limited, so it’s first in best dressed.

Supplying your portraits

You will be provided with high-res files to download, in both colour and black and white (three to five images per artist). Preferred images will be selected on the day in consultation with the photographer and provided with basic touching up.

If you would like additional images to be re-touched and provided, you can do so directly with Michael at your own expense.
