Kate Lewis (pictured) was the Helpmann Academy Award for Voice 2022 recipient.
The award assisted in Kate in the recording, filming and online release of a live album titled ‘Stone Cold Sober – Live at Wizard Tone Studios’ which was based on her solo cabaret show of the same name. Filmed in front of a live audience, the vision and audio was expertly mixed and mastered to create promotional material for promoting Kate’s show at the 2023 Adelaide Fringe.
“I am so grateful to the Helpmann Academy and Dr Rob Lyons for this award. Filming and recording ‘Stone Cold Sober’ and releasing the live album has been a thrilling and rewarding experience. Not only has it allowed me to share my music and art with a wider audience, but it has also given me the chance to showcase my growth and development as a performer… the release of this album marks a significant milestone in my career.”
