Helpmann Academy/ ACE Studio Program Award 2023

Presented by Adelaide Contemporary Experimental (ACE) the Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition is our annual landmark event, which showcases the talent of the top emerging artists from Flinders University and the University of South Australia.

Artists in the Graduate Exhibition are selected by a distinguished independent panel and includes works by graduating artists across a range of creative disciplines including ceramics, glass, painting, jewellery, photography, printmaking, video, installation, and sculpture.

We are thrilled to announced that the Helpmann Academy/ACE Studio Program Award will provide one emerging artist, exhibiting in the 2023 Graduate Exhibition with a 12-mont rent-free studio space plus extensive professional development opportunities including, but not limited to: studio visits with Australian and international curators, introductions to visiting artists, participation in public programs, and support from ACE staff. The recipient will also produce new work and receive a commission fee for ACE’s annual studio artist exhibition.

In addition to being provided with a studio, the selected artist will be given opportunities to broaden their practice and audiences through public programs, studio visits with visiting curators, professional development, and enhanced connection with the ACE community.

The recipient of the 12-month ACE Studio Program Award is announced at the 2023 Graduate Exhibition.
