Creative Boost Grants 2023 Recipients Announced

18 May 2023

The Helpmann Academy has awarded nine emerging creatives from a wide range of disciplines with up to $500 each through our Creative Boost Grants 2023.

Our Creative Boost Grants were created to provide emerging creatives with a quick injection of cash to fund essential services and materials or pay for immediate costs.

Artists from a range of disciplines including film, music, music theatre, photography and visual arts received grants to support a wide range of activities.

From supplementing studio rent, using towards out-of-pocket touring costs, purchasing a new camera and funding an artist’s agreement contract to be used in a new business – through to purchasing a console to elevate a creative practice to bringing to life a tribute cabaret of two fallen pop legends from Hong Kong – the Creative Boost grants can provide vital assistance, at the right time.

We are thrilled to support emerging artists in practical ways and be the catalyst that brings a project to life.

Congratulations to all the recipients!
