The Helpmann Academy is thrilled to announce the 215 Magill resident for 2023 is emerging multidisciplinary artist, Stephanie Doddridge.
Stephanie Doddridge is a multidisciplinary artist creating autobiographical artworks through sculpture, textile, and ceramic production methods. Her current passion is the exploration of gardening and art as parallel creative practices and expressing human-nature relationships to encourage a sense of responsibility for nature.
This residency is made possible through the support of Ferguson George and their burgeoning studio in the heart of Maylands.
This opportunity will provide Stephanie with a unique 12-month studio residency where she will have access to a full range of equipment, tools, new materials, and techniques while being immersed in a busy, productive studio and workshop.
“My goals are to continue to broaden my skills in woodworking and ceramics to complete my first two solo exhibitions and to gain experience within the SA art community to become a successful practicing artist… eventually exhibiting throughout Australia and internationally,” comments Stephanie.
She adds that the opportunity at 215 Magill will expand her practice.
“215 Magill will allow me to continue to experiment and push the boundaries with my ceramic work and continue to develop more unique eco-printed and naturally dyed surface treatments,” says Stephanie.
This residency is proudly supported by 215 Magill.
